Five things Business Leaders can learn from #LlamaChase

Five things Business Leaders can learn from #LlamaChase

1. DO WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN
The two llamas that chose freedom today made a stand not just for themselves but also for all llama-kind. They believed in their right to RUN FREE.

As a business leader, you should do what you believe in. Do not be shackled by the conventional wisdom of your peers and predecessors.

Break out of those chains, forge your own path; be the llama.

2. BE AGILE
Llamas are not known for their speed and agility. But today they managed to steer clear of the UNITED STATES ARMY POLICE for a period of at least one hour. How? With speed and agility.

As a leader, you should be able act fast and make decisions swiftly. Do this and, like the llama on the run, you too will make great progress on the road to success.

3. MAKE A PLAN, THEN EXECUTE EXECUTE EXECUTE
With enough focus and planning (what, you think these guys accidentally escaped?) you can do anything. Having a plan is one thing but having the balls to execute that plan is another great sign of a true leader.

Be brave. Have courage. Be the llama.

4. PERSPECTIVE
Look at the Llamas. Look at them. Look at what they've achieved: in the space of one hour THEY ARE WORLD FAMOUS.

When you're struggling with your workload, when you don't think there are enough hours in the day FORGET that 'Beyonce has the same 24 hours as you do' - think of the Llamas instead. One hour. World Fame.

You can do the same.

5. INSPIRE THOSE AROUND YOU
If you can inspire those around to join you on your journey (again, this wasn't just ONE llama here) then you too will be an incredible leader.

Look in the mirror ask yourself:

'If I am the black llama, then who is my white llama?'

Every day. The same question.

I ask you right now: who is your white llama?

If you can answer that question honestly, and with confidence, then you will know in your heart, truly, exactly how much a great and wonderful leader you really are.

My daughter strives to Be the Llama by wearing her llama-embellished shirt every day. Perhaps I should join her by using your guidelines as opposed to purchasing my own matching llama shirt.
