We are at the beginning of a rapid change revolution that will destroy the status quo and enable the impossible. The extremely rapid technological and scientific changes before us will be so fast, and so profound, that every aspect of our society will be transformed, from our bodies and families to our governments and economies. Our civilization will change so rapidly that its rules and technologies would be incomprehensible to previous generations. Think of it as a point-of-no-return in our history. Our educational system failed to teach us the value and importance of doing emotional labor. The need to develop emotional intelligence is fundamental to embrace and navigate through the challenges we face. Emotional intelligence multiplies the results and effectiveness of intellectual intelligence. Emotional labor is the most difficult type of work to do and up until now, the easiest to avoid. It is the essential education we need to embrace the unimaginable.
