Announcing The Growth & Leadership Academy @ Subscribed '15
Building a startup is hard, I know.
Those pursuing this noble cause need all the help they can get.
That's why I’m excited to announce we are holding our first ever Growth and Leadership Academy, at the Subscribed '15 conference this year in San Francisco.
Over the years, I’ve been approached for advice by dozens of CEOs who are navigating particular challenges based on the size and growth-rate of their companies. A lot of the same questions keep coming up, and I’ve put a lot of thought into answering them with concrete methodologies based on my experience founding and building Zuora, as well as helping to grow Salesforce from ten guys in a room to a billion-dollar run-rate.
On May 21st, I’ll be sharing these growth blueprints, along with some folks I view as experts in their domain. These are some of the topics we will discuss:
- How do you nail your go-to-market positioning?
- How do you know what are the right price points for your product?
- How do you craft a message that really cuts through the noise
- What type of sales organization should you build? Do you even need sales people?
- How does the role of the CEO and management team evolve as the company grows?
- What is the essence of Leadership in a high growth startup, and why is a leadership gap one of the top reasons companies top out in their growth
- and much more.
Our goal is for you to walk away from this summit with real, tangible frameworks that you can use to grow your business from zero to a billion.
- Date: May 21st
- Time: 1pm to 5pm
- Location: Hilton Union Square San Francisco
Here are all the details. I hope to see you there! Please drop me a line if I can answer any questions.

8yI'm really excited about the Growth & Leadership Academy. We hear these sort of questions all the time in Australia & NZ - from both startups and enterprises pivoting to subscriptions. For instance: which is better - a freemium model or free trial approach? Also: when should I start to require paid subscriptions? Even: when is it best to take credit card or other payment details - before the trial starts or towards the end.
