Local SEO Tip: How To Get Google Reviews Right From Your Website

As you know, getting reviews from your customers helps to build brand authority, a loyal customer base, and also connect with new prospects and leads for your business.  All of which increases the power of your local seo strategy.

One of the best places to get reviews from customers is Google.  If you are a local business, then Google reviews can help increase the overall rating of your business page, which could result in higher rankings and more exposure to new customers searching for what you offer.

Also, Google is probably the most common platform people are logged into throughout the day, especially from mobile devices, since a lot of people have Gmail accounts for their email.

Something I've been doing a lot lately for my clients is putting a button directly on their homepage that when clicked, will open up the review window to their Google business page.  This makes it a "one click" process to go from your website to the review window in Google, which has been helping to increase reviews for my clients.

All you need is one simple line of code added to your website:

https://plus.google.com/{your Google business page ID}/about?hl=en&review=1

Just replace "your Google business page ID" with the ID to your own page.  You'll find your page ID in the URL right after the .com/ (for example:  http://plus.google.com/{pageID} -- the {pageID} portion is your page ID.

If you wanted to put an image on your homepage like this one:

All you'd have to do is change up your code to include a link to your image URL like this:

Once you get the image or link added to your website, your visitors are just one click away from leaving a review for your business in Google.
