What Inspires Me: The Power of Passion

Passion is without any doubt the secret weapon to make life more fun, live your dream and reach your goals. Although it's a bit of a mystery, most people agree that it is a crucial ingredient in life, to live your dream and reach your goals.

What is Passion?

The dictionary defines passion as "having a keen enthusiasm or intense desire for something". The description includes words as zealous, obsessive, fanatical and fervent. A key in life is to channel the intense desire and enthusiasm to get where you want to go.

To maximize your potential, 'can do' thoughts are essential. Some 80% of people's thoughts are negative, which sabotages any effort to be the best we can be. The challenge is to exert the self-control to become a 'can do' thinker and to define your life's purpose to you better understand why you're doing, what you're doing every day.

You have to ask yourself what you're supposed to do with your life. Write down your answers and feelings and you'll probably have a sense of meaning and a better understanding of what you need to do to put life into your purpose and purpose in your life.

When you're really passionate about something, you feel it. In most cases, answers will not surprise you, but will just give you a better understanding of what's really driving you.

Experience comes with passion

Experience is overrated. Experience always starts with passion. When I hire somebody, the look in their eyes is far more important than their current experience. When people talk about their passion, you see it in their eyes. That's why talking with people is so important, because you can read an experience summary on somebody's CV, but to 'read' what their passion is you should listen, talk and watch people in their eyes.

Passionate people bring great energy and enthusiasm in your company. Exactly what you want. Of course, experience is important and should be considered a plus, but it's overrated because real experience is a result of somebody who's unbelievable passionate about something. Passion will drive better experience. Passionate people learn 10 times faster than people who're not.

Passion is not perfection. Passion is the desire to keep seeking and learning. It is what makes people forget how much time they have spent working on a project.
